French tourists died in Snowmobile accidents in Canada.
Two French tourists who took control of their snowmobile before collapsing into the ice are dead. However, one person was recovered dead, and five French tourists have been reported missing. The Quebec provincial police search-and-rescue teams are working on the frozen waters. As per the police report, the victim who was found dead was a 42-year-old Quebec man, Benoit L'Esperance of Montreal.
He was serving as a guide to the eight tourists from France. He succumbed to his injuries and died on the way to the hospital. Sgt. Hugues Beaulieu, who is a provincial police spokesman, said in the statement that they were traveling on the shallow lake. The ice gave way, and they plunged into the water. The scene got worse when one provincial police helicopter also crashed near the stage. The pilot was taken to the hospital.
